LANSING, Mich. — State Sen. Michael Webber, R-Rochester Hills, welcomed Chief Health Officer for the Autism Alliance of Michigan Dr. Nicole Hamp, MD, MPA, FAAP, to the state Capitol on Wednesday.
Webber, who currently serves as the co-chair of the Autism Advocates Caucus, welcomed Hamp as his guest for Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s 2026 State of the State address.
The senator has been a strong advocate of improving access and removing barriers for individuals with autism who are seeking employment. Webber is actively working to restore the autism navigator program, which is a critical service to many Michigan families, in the state budget.
