Sen. Michael Webber, R-Rochester Hills, on Friday joined Troy Mayor Ethan Baker, area legislators and members of the Troy Community Foundation Advisory Board to discuss local and state issues affecting the city of Troy. The foundation was formed in 2016 by a group of residents and business owners to support citizen-driven initiatives that promote the very best in the Troy community. It organizes Troy Family Daze, an annual fall carnival celebration that will take place Sept. 14-17 this year.

Scott (center), who was recently named 2023 City Clerk of the Year by the Michigan Association of Municipal Clerks (MAMC). Scott began her career with the city of Rochester Hills 26 years ago and has served as clerk since 2021. She has also served on the Executive Board of the Oakland County Clerks Association and in various capacities with the state Board of Elections. Additionally, Scott has taught several sessions at MAMC institutes and conferences, and regularly speaks to high school government classes about elections and the role of clerks.
