Sen. Webber participates in youth mental health and juvenile justice advocacy panel

LANSING, Mich. — State Sen. Michael Webber, R-Rochester Hills, on Thursday participated in a panel discussion hosted by the Mental Health Association in Michigan covering youth mental health and juvenile justice, specifically on the current state of Michigan’s mental health care system.

Webber, the minority vice chair of the Senate Committee on Health Policy, has been a strong advocate for mental health care. The senator pushed for, and was instrumental in getting completed, an audit that uncovered multiple Michigan Department of Health and Human Services failures and has fought to improve accountability on behalf of mental health patients and their families across the state.
